A home fragrance is never the result of a single ingredient. It is the balance between materials, fragrance and formulation that determines how the finished product feels and performs.

At HAUTEASE, every element is selected with that relationship in mind.

Materials

We work with professional-grade materials developed specifically for home fragrance: soy wax, cotton and wooden wicks, candle-grade glass and specialist bases designed to carry and diffuse fragrance.

Each material is chosen for its quality, reliability and performance. Rather than following a particular idea of what a product should be made from, we use what works best for what we are creating.

Fragrance

Our fragrances are professionally composed in France and the United Kingdom, with layered structures of top, heart and base notes.

Most contain around nine individual notes. The three shown on each HAUTEASE product are the ones we select to best express its character, rather than its complete composition.

Our core fragrances are vegan friendly, cruelty-free and paraben-free, and supported by technical and safety documentation for their intended use.

Tested as a whole

Good materials are only the starting point. What matters is how they work together.

Every formulation is developed and tested repeatedly for performance, stability and fragrance delivery before becoming part of the HAUTEASE collection.

Each product is then made in small batches in Madrid.

Whenever possible, we include samples of other fragrances so you can explore the collection and refine your preferences over time.

They are not designed as generic home fragrance products.

Across candles, sprays and personal care, we focus on high-quality materials and refined scent compositions designed to perform at a higher level: lasting longer, projecting better and requiring less product over time.

Our scents are designed to define a space.

Some collections, like Monolith, are intentionally more intense and perfumistic, while others focus on balance and atmosphere.
All are created to be present and noticeable.

Burn time depends on size and usage, but all candles are designed for a slow, consistent burn.

In the description of each candle you can find an approximate burning time for each format.

The first burn sets the structure of the candle.

Allow the wax to melt completely to the edges to prevent tunneling and ensure an even burn in future uses.

After the first burn:

Trim the wick before each use
Avoid short burns
Keep away from drafts
Let the wax fully melt before extinguishing

This ensures optimal performance and longevity.

Single wooden wick candles are ideal for shorter sessions and more intimate spaces, such as bathrooms, kitchens or moments you want immediate, focused atmosphere. Their scent is more direct, built to express a single, clear profile.

Larger formats with multiple wicks are designed for longer burns and larger spaces. Overtime, their fragrances evolve, opening and developing like a perfume, revealing different facets as the candle burns.

HAUTEASE is fully made in Spain, in small batches.

Each piece is developed and finished by hand, with a focus on intentional design, high-quality materials and refined scent compositions.

This approach allows us to maintain consistency, control over details and create products that feel thoughtful - not mass produced.
